Blackpool, England, named William Lyons resolved to turn his passion for
motor sports into a profitable business. He got his start building
motorcycle sidecars -- smart, reliable creations with a style all their
own. His company was an instant success. Craving another challenge, Lyons
set his sights on designing automobiles, and soon Jaguar Cars, Ltd., was
born.
